Makawanpur: –<\/strong> Chief Minister of Bagmati Pradesh Dormani Paudel has said that additional initiatives are needed to establish gender equality, women’s rights and entitlements.<\/p>\n

Expressing best wishes to the women around the world on the occasion of the 111th Workers’ Women’s Day, Chief Minister Paudel said that the state government has come forward with concrete policies and programs to ensure women’s rights.<\/p>\n

Talking to Tu Khabar, Chief Minister Paudel expressed concern over the fact that women’s rights have not been ensured in the country despite the possible representation of women from the dignified responsibilities of the President to the federal, state and local governments.<\/p>\n

He said that despite the strong presence of women, who make up half of the population, at the policy-making level, there is need for practical implementation of the provisions mentioned in the constitution and law and expressed belief that the slogan of women\u2019s day could be meaningful only if the patriarchal thinking could be removed.<\/p>\n
