Makawanpur: –<\/strong> The Makawanpur branch of the Nepal Press Union has organized a meeting targeting the upcoming election of the Federation of Nepali Journalists.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, a meeting and interaction program was held between the journalists working in various media houses affiliated to the Press Union.<\/p>\n

Press Union Makawanpur President Kumar Adhikari Postraj presided over the function where Union Central Coordinator Ram Mani Dahal was the chief guest.<\/p>\n

Dahal, who was the chief guest at the gathering, pointed out the need to give up personal interests and factional tendencies to strengthen the union. Dahal also said that such meetings and discussions would be necessary for the benefit of the organization.<\/p>\n

Similarly, Samjhana Karki, vice-president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Bagmati Pradesh, said that the journalists affiliated to the Press Union should use pens for the institutional development of democracy and defense of the constitution.<\/p>\n

Journalists affiliated to the Press Union presented at the event have expressed their commitment to always write for the institutional development of democracy and defense of the constitution through dignified journalism.<\/p>\n

During the program, the union workers presented their views on the upcoming election of the Federation of Nepali Journalists.<\/p>\n

Rupesh Dulal, outgoing president of Union Makawanpur, former president Gokarna Subedi, senior journalist Rajan Dahal Khushraj, central councilor of Press Union and journalist Yuvraj Shrestha of Ramechhap, and Ganesh Darpan Adhikari, secretary of Federation of Nepali Journalists Makawanpur expressed the view that a laborious well thinker and well known person should be a candidate in the election of the Federation of Nepali Journalists.<\/p>\n

They also wished for the recovery for the incumbent NC Makawanpur president Raghurman Neupane. Neupane has been fighting with Cancer.<\/p>\n

At the same meeting, Rammani Neupane, who works for Navyug Online, has joined the Press Union.<\/p>\n

An election mobilization committee of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has also been formed from the working committee meeting of the union held on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

A seven-member committee has been formed under the coordination of Keshav Samparna, secretary of the union Makawanpur, said Balram Pudasaini, chief of the organization department of the union Makawanpur.<\/p>\n
