Makawanpur<\/strong>: – The ‘Jharna Sahityik Pariwar’ is going to hold a literary festival this year as well. Chairman of the organization Deepak Gautam informed that the festival started last year is being continued this year too. Speaking at a press conference in Hetauda today, Jharna informed that the festival will honor those who have contributed in various fields.<\/p>\n

Chairman Gautam said that the festival is being organized at ‘Prabhat Secondary School’ in Bakaiya Gaupalika-5, Sreepur on Phalgun-14 and 15. According to the Schedule, there will be a ‘Poetry reading program of (Children)’ on the first day of the poet, award distribution and debate program, On the second day, on Saturday, Phalgun-15, there will be a program honoring program, local cultural dance, reciting literary works along with honoring the land donors, said Gautam.<\/p>\n

The family has been providing various honors and awards. Secretary of the organization Masan Upasak said that there is a program to honor writers and journalists in this year’s festival as usual.<\/p>\n

According to him, this year to Sunsari’s senior writer P.D Bhim Khatiwada will be awarded with ‘Homnath-Tikamaya Pratibha Samman-2077’ The founder of the award, which is a cash prize of Rs 15,555, is Nur Prasad Gautam.<\/p>\n

Similarly, Babulal-Bhojmaya Pratibha Samman-2077 will be awarded to Makawanpur Senior poet RR Chaulagain. Binod Subedi is the founder of this award worth Rs 11,111. Secretary Upasak informed that the Shiva-Savitri Adhikari Smriti Muktak Samman-2077 BS will be given to Gyanuwakar Paudel. Ramesh Mohan Adhikari is the founder of the 11,111 award to be given to Paudel, a resident of Kathmandu.<\/p>\n

Similarly, Khadananda-Manmaya Memorial Talent Award-2077 BS will be given to Sumitra Sumi, a young writer from Nuwakot. The amount of the award established by Arpan and Darpan Parajuli is Rs 5,555. Ruku Karki, a writer from Makawanpur, will be awarded the Sushila Dangal Memorial Creative Women Award-2077 BS. The amount of the award established by Rajan Dangal is Rs 5,555.<\/p>\n

Jharna-Bakaiya Journalism Award-2077 BS will be given to Khem Bolakhe of Rautahat. The amount of the award is Rs 5,555. Similarly, Deepshikha Ghimire of Bakaiya will be awarded with the ‘Jharna-Bakaiya Nava Pratibha Award-2077’ BS. The founder of the award is Chandra Kumar Rai and the amount of the award is Rs 2,505, according to Jharna.<\/p>\n

Jharna was established in 2050 BS in the former Chhatiwan VDC (now Bakaiya village municipality) and is one of the leading literary organizations in Makawanpur. It has been conducting various activities in the field of literature including running a monthly literary series, publishing a half-yearly magazine called ‘Jharna’, publishing literary works through a publishing fund.<\/p>\n

Since its inception, it has been conducting literary programs and conducting campaigns to motivate students studying at school level to engage in literature. Now, under the Creative New Generation Campaign, Jharna has visited more than 50 schools and colleges in the last six years, conducting one-day poetry training, forming children’s literature committees and playing a leading role in the development of writing and reading culture among newcomers.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, ‘Jharna Sahityik Pariwar’ Makawanpur has received 2 katthas of land from the village municipality office for the purpose of running its own building and library in Bakaiya-5.
