Makawanpur<\/strong>: – Funds have been received from domestic and abroad level for the construction of Taekwondo Covered Hall in Makawanpur.<\/p>\n

Rs. 148,000 collected from various individuals and organizations was handed over to the construction committee of Makawanpur District Sports Office on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Yagya Sapkoto, a resident of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan Ward No. 4, has donated Rs. 51,500 on the occasion of his son’s birthday alone.<\/p>\n

Similarly, Rs 55,000 from Jeevan Joshi and his family, Rs 20,000 from former Canadian player Prakash Pudasaini, Rs 11,011 from Gopal Bik, founder player of Makawanpur and Rs 11,011 from Thakur Nath Subedi, treasurer of the committee. Chairman of the club Lal Kaji Bajracharya has informed that the money has been made available, expressing happiness for helping in the construction of the covered hall, he expressed his gratitude to the supportive minds.<\/p>\n

Moreover, cost for the covered hall which is under construction at Hetauda-4 Karra is around Rs 8.5 Million, although the construction was started about a year ago, the construction of the hall could not be accelerated due to Covid-19.<\/p>\n

Stating the constructional progress, Chairperson Bajracharya told Tukhabar that the construction work has now been resume and will be completed within seven months.<\/p>\n

Chairman of the District Sports Development Committee Sanu Lama, Office Chief Rajan Dahal Khusraj, Taekwondo Instructor Madhav Koirala of Makawanpur and others were present on the occasion. They also expressed his commitment to help in the construction of the hall as much as possible.<\/p>\n
