Makawanpur<\/strong>. The stakeholders have expressed their commitment to expedite the construction work of area after on-site inspection in the ‘Mayurdhap Industrial Area’ under Construction in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan Wada No.13 and 14.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies \u00a0Chandra Ghimire, Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Board Sushil Bhatta, former Constituent Assembly member Ananta Paudel and representative of Various bodies related to industrialists inspected the site and expressed their commitment to ensure budget and policy formation.<\/p>\n

Secretary at the Ministry of Industry Ghimire said that he has already visited the industrial areas under construction across the country and said that ‘Mayurdhap industrial Area’ is most suitable for the establishment.<\/p>\n

Stating that there were complaints of delay in the work of the industrial sector due to various technical and legal complaints, Secretary Ghimire expressed his commitment to move ahead with all the necessary proposals for the establishment of the industrial immediately.<\/p>\n

He said that there is budget of Rs. 58 Crores in the current fiscal year for the construction of new industrial zone and the budget will be spent on physical infrastructure based on the needs.<\/p>\n

Chief Executive Officer of the investment Board, Bhatta, said that the industrial policy should be simplified and initiative would be taken to establish the industry after discussing with the management.<\/p>\n

Similarly, former CA member Paudel said that Mayurdhap Was suitable for the expansion of Hetauda Industrial Area, which was established 57 years ago, adding that its expansion should not be stopped due to policy complexities. He mentioned he need to implement ‘ One Door System’ for setting up industry.<\/p>\n

Past and Present of Mayudhap Industrial Area <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>A meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Government of Nepal on 20723\/02\/01 had decided to expand the Mayurdhap Industrial Area in the area of 199 Bighas 17 Katha located in Hetauda Sub-metropolis Wada No.19-14.<\/p>\n

The land title paper was received in 2073 BS in the name of Area Management Limited after on-site inspection and detailed survey. A detailed Study (DPR) of the industrial area has been prepared and approved by the Board of Directors of the Industrial Area Management ltd on 2075-02-19 and submitted to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and supplies.<\/p>\n

According to the Industrial Area Management Limited, a consultant has been selected to prepare the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the establishment of the Industry and the zoning (SD) and agenda (TOR) have been also prepared and submitted to the Ministry of Forests and Environment.<\/p>\n

Nanda Kishor Basnet, Chairman of the company, informed that action has been taken to cancel the land title deed as the land used by the project falls in the forest area.<\/p>\n

The process of environment impact assessment and commencement of construction of industrial zone infrastructure has been hampered due to disagreement of Parsa National Park due to forest land. The ministry of Industry, commerce and Supply has already written letter on 2077-04-09 and 2077-07-28 to move ahead with the process of maintaining the right of tenure by changing the land title deeds.<\/p>\n

Currently, the fencing work has been completed in most of the borders of the area, while the fencing work in the rest of the area has not been completed due to the disagreement of Parsa National Park. The industrial Area Project Office has been established on Katik-5 of 2075 BS to take forward the work related to the establishment.<\/p>\n

10,000 people are expected to get employed <\/strong><\/p>\n

The local people are expected to get employment opportunity after the establishment of the industrial zone. According to the company, about 10,000 people will get employment after the establishment. The area is said to be suitable for industrial projects as there is very little land due to dry land and riverbed.<\/p>\n

According to the DPR, the total cost of the project is estimated to be Rs. 7 Arba 2 Crore 34 Lakhs rupees. There are 62 industrials plots in the area ranging from 7 to 14 Ropanis.<\/p>\n

In the previous fiscal year 073\/074, 074\/075 and in the previous Fiscal Year 075\/076, the budget for the industrial sector was included in the policies and programs of the Government of Nepal.<\/p>\n

Encroachment <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Some parts of the land of the industrial area under construction have been encroached by the orphans, Om Baba Ashram and the temple. The local are also cultivating the land in the industrial area.<\/p>\n

Industrial management Limited has a challenge to clear the land. The Industrial Area Project Office has stated that discussions have been held with the local bodies and administration in this regard and a commitment has been made to vacate during the construction.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
