The Raksirang Village Municipality of Makawanpur has constructed helipads in the Wadas.<\/p>\n<p>Helipads have been constructed in all the Wadas with the objectives of providing immediate rescue and relief to the victims, said village chairman Raj Kumar Malla.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A helipad has been set up to rescue disaster victims, pregnant women and emergency patients,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Gaupalika, helipads have been constructed in Dunkha of Wada No.1, Gothari of Wada No.2, Palase of Wada No.3 and Bhimaltar of Wada No.4.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, helipads have been constructed at Botbari of Wada No.5, Kharkhande of Wada No.6, Girling of Wada No.7, Devitar of Wada No.8 and Dantatar Wada No.9. The village municipality has spent Rs.500,000 for the construction of the helipads.<\/p>\n<p>Village Chairman Malla informed that the Wadas of the most remote village of the districts are not connected to the road network. So that, the helipads have been set up keeping in mind the needs to carry the patients and disaster victims. In the lack of roads and health services, people are compelled to carry the patients in &#8216;Doko&#8217; for hours.<\/p>\n<p>The Chepang community is in the majority in the village municipality which is also at high risks of floods and landslides.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Makawanpur.
