Chief Minister of Bagmati State Dormani Paudel has said that the state government is committed to upgrade the hospitals for providing quality service in healthcare to the people in remote areas of all 13 districts of the state.<\/p>\n
Chief Minister Paudel said this while inaugurating the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and High Dependency Unit (HDU) constructed by Madan Bhandari Institute of Health Sciences at Hetauda hospital on Monday.<\/p>\n
He said that the government has a policy of gradually setting up teaching hospitals to produce quality and efficient manpower in health and education to orient the people towards socialism.<\/p>\n
Chief Minister Paudel also clarified that ICU services have been started in Bhaktapur, Nuwakot and Sindhuli district hospitals of the state from today under the management of the State government.<\/p>\n
He said that the foundation of 51 hospitals in 13 districts would be laid today as part of the efforts made by the federal government for the up gradation and construction of hospitals in the state. He also informed that the federal government has provided 58 Arba for the construction.<\/p>\n
Chief Minister also informed that the Madan Bhandari Institute of Health Sciences would lay the foundation stone for the construction of a 300 bed teaching hospital in Hetauda very soon keeping in mind the population density of the permanent capital of the state, Hetauda. Stating that the state government has allocated Rs. 45 Crores for the construction of the teaching hospital, he clarified that the aim is to provide health services to Hetauda Hospital as a teaching hospital.<\/p>\n
Chief of the District Coordination Committee, Raghunath Khulal, Registrar of Madan Bhandari Health Science Academy Rajesh Prasai, Medical Superintendent of Hetauda hospital Dr. Pravin Shrestha, Chairman of Hospital Development Committee Prakash Paudel and other media persons were present on the occasion.<\/p>\n
Dr. Pravin Shrestha, Medical Superintendent of Hetauda Hospital, said that the ICU and HDU services have been started for the first time in Hetauda Hospital, which was established in 2018 BS.<\/p>\n
He also informed that Covid-19 patients will not be treated in the ICU room which has come into operation from today.<\/p>\n
