Makawanpur.<\/strong> There is recurring discussion about an event, Nakhkhu Jail break. One of the communist politician who ran away from the jail in nakkhu jail break before 44 years ago, Birbahadur Lama demised on Sundays morning. Lama died in Patan hospital in the process of treatment. He was 70 Years old and \u00a0patient of High blood pressure and diabetes.<\/p>\n

He was in the process of daily dialysis when his both kidneys failed to work properly.<\/p>\n

Lama has a dream ,to make the Nakhu jail break event as memorable, to build a park at the place where hid after breaking the jail. He had thought to build park with sample tunnel he had used when he ran away from the jail.<\/p>\n

State government has allocated the budget of 50 lakhs to build the park at Palemale Danda Phakhel Indrasarowar-4 of Makawanpur . He had been trying to make this plan success.<\/p>\n

He ran away from the jail on 12th Chaitra 2033 AD along with C.P Mainali , Pradip Nepal , GopalShakya , Madhav Paudel , Nar Wagle all of them 15 from the jail.<\/p>\n

13 Out of 15 had hidden in the forest of Palemale Danda for a month.\u00a0 Member of Bagmati State Assembly, Madhav Paudel said -‘ he was active to dig the tunnel to run away.’ ” Its only mine and lama’s thought to run away digging the tunnel. Remaining friends had idea to run away by taking away the gun of guards. After the order \u00a0of Mainali me and my friend lama started to dig the tunnel, others friends also helped to dig the tunnel.” According to Paudel Lama used to dig the tunnel whole night and used to take rest at day time.\u00a0 After digging(65 Haat) long tunnel in a month, they ran away from the jail. Paudel said” he not only dug the tunnel but also he helped the leaders to be underground.”<\/p>\n

Police had arrested the Lama from the Kathmandu on 19th Baishakh of 2032 on international May days. He was arrested during the distribution of pamphlets \u00a0supporting democracy ,against king and supporting the Jhapa Groups.\u00a0Those pamphlets were make ready at the Korean Embassay in Kathmandu. Lama was employed in the embassy before he was arrested. In the cooperation of Pradip Nepal, Rajendra Pandey, Madhav Paudel and GopalShakya,a group was formed named as’ Muslo’. On the name of that groups, pamphlets were distributed in Kathmandu. In the charge of distributing the pamphlets Court has fined 5 thousands rupees to the Lama and charged for 5 Years jail. In the process of paying the fine Lama, Nepal and Paudel were sent to Nakhkhu Jail through Bhadragol Jail. There Lama had met Mainali and others leaders.<\/p>\n

Central member of Communist, KedarNeupane love the people calling Lama as Honest Communist politician who came from a working family. He said, “CPN has got new direction from the central meeting at Phakhel in 2037 BS, in the leading of Lama.”<\/p>\n

Lama was selected as president of District Development Committee of Makawanpur District in 2049 BS. Also in his leading Kulekhanee, Phakhel- Pharping road was constructed. Electricity Authority had constructed the road of 16 KMs connecting Bhimphedi and Kulekhani. On that road, except electricity authority’s transportation, no others were allowed. That road was also opened for the common people in the help of Lama.<\/p>\n

Lama was elected from Makawanpur Region-3 in the Election of House of Representative in 2056 BS. There was no changes in his economic condition even after being the president of DDC and member of Parliament. He felt problem during his treatment because of not being economically strong. Family had requested to the Government in his treatment but did not get help. Daughter Shramik Lama said-” we asked for the help but did not get”.<\/p>\n

He joined Federal Socialism leaving CPN in 2068 BS, after that he was not active in the Politics. His body has been kept in a Gumba of Swayambhu in Kathmandu.<\/p>\n

Head of Indrasarowar Gaupalika, Jeewan Lama informed that his funeral will be done only after his younger son returns from the gulf nation who had gone there for the employment. Lama had 3 daughters, 2 songs along with a beloved wife.<\/p>\n
